Dick Stone Pty Ltd has been a supplier to the foodservice industry for over five generations. It was incorporated in NSW on December 4, 1954. The business operates from the Sydney Meat Centre, a state of the art facility located in Sydney's inner west. It has built a reputation for consistent quality and reliable service through a diligent team, which has uncompromising standards for customer satisfaction.
Dick Stone Pty Ltd were pioneers of vertical integration in the food service industry. We were the first to control product from the "farm gate to the plate". The use of exacting controls in selection and adherence to the customer's specification has earned us the reputation as a partner in product development to satisfy the client's requirements.
Dick Stone Pty Ltd, in conjunction with Melrina Pty Ltd (carton meat wholesaler) and Newland Food Company (smallgoods/processing factory) form a group, which covers all levels of the value chain within the meat industry.
Melrina Pty Ltd is a carton meat wholesaler, which allows Dick Stone Pty Ltd to supply a consistent and quality product year round. Melrina Pty Ltd's headquarters is based in Sydney, as well as having depots in Melbourne and Brisbane.
The group as mentioned above owns Newland Food Company, which is situated on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The factory is a state of the art export approved facility for manufacturing, cooked and sliced meats, slicing and dicing cheeses as well as cooked meats for pizza toppings for various food service manufacturers, bakeries and retail traders.
All three companies within the group have HACCP based quality assurance programs, which are audited by external third parties. Dick Stone is accredited by Aus Meat Ltd for maintaining an approved quality management system.
In recent years, the innovation in the supply of exotic game meats has expanded the range and diversity of products now being supplied to the food service industry.
